Unix Timestamp Converter

Convert Unix timestamps to dates and back, in any time zone.

Now1791926223
Unit
Enter a timestamp in seconds, milliseconds, microseconds or nanoseconds, or a date in a common format.

Usage

Enter either a Unix timestamp or a date:

  • Timestamps can be in seconds, milliseconds, microseconds or nanoseconds. The unit is detected from the size of the number, e.g. 1791926223 is read as seconds and 1791926223000 as milliseconds, or can be chosen explicitly.
  • Dates can be written in common formats like ISO 8601, e.g. 2026-10-13T23:17:03+02:00, or RFC 2822, e.g. Tue, 13 Oct 2026 23:17:03 +0200. Dates without a time zone are read as local time.

The examples show the time you opened this page.

The result is shown as Unix seconds and milliseconds, ISO 8601, in UTC, in your local time zone and in a time zone of your choice, and relative to now. The current timestamp at the top can be used as input with one click.

What is a Unix timestamp?

A Unix timestamp counts the seconds since 1 January 1970 00:00:00 UTC (the Unix epoch), ignoring leap seconds. It is the same everywhere in the world, which makes it a common way for computers to store points in time.
